Joseph Bliss Meader, son of Charles T. Meader (1818-1909) [0194] and Sarah Bliss (1818-1883), was born January 25, 1844, probably on Nantucket, and died August 24, 1890 in Mexico. December 8, 1866 he married Victoria A. Foster of Stoneham, MA, daughter of Captain Ward Foster. He apparently did not go to California with his parents in 1853, but lived with his grandparents, Reuben Meader [0094] and Sarah Swain, in North Easton, MA and was educated in Boston.
